Reviews about Wrafton House Surgery NHS
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I never write reviews but I feel this place warrants one, the reception staff here are unbelievably rude. They never answer the phone and when you finally get through you're spoken to like an idiot. You get told to call between 8.30 and 9 for urgent appointments but no one answers the phone (not even engaged just ringing and ringing). I have sat in the waiting area at this time twice and the reception staff are chatting amongst themselves about their social lives ignoring the phone! Once I got left in the waiting area for 50 minutes only to be told that the doctor I was seeing was off sick (no apology either) - I only found out as they called my mobile phone while I was sitting waiting for the appointment that was 50 minutes prior. I was then told the next available appointment was 2 weeks later, I explained that was beyond my due date (i was pregnant at the time) and was requested to see a doctor by my midwife as I was anaemic, the receptionist shrugged her shoulders and said it wasn't her problem and to contact my midwife! 2 weeks ago I called to make mine and my daughters 6 week post natal check, I was told to call back the following Wednesday as the appointments hadn't been released yet, which I did only told then to call the following Wednesday. On this occasion the receptionist wanted the specific date that the 6 week check was due, I apologised and said I wasn't sure but it would be 2 weeks from today, she huffed and said 'well I supposed to find that out myself then am I'. She also stated that the appointment must be specifically on the 6 weeks about 4 times in a tone that I was completely stupid. I called back a week later as requested, between 9am and 11.30 the phone was constantly engaged or just ringing and ringing. When I finally got through I was given an appointment a week after the 6 week check was due, so much for 'having to be the specific date'!. I am the practice manager in a busy vet practice so would like to think there are a lot of similarities between a doctors and a vets, just seems to be as there is no exchange of money they do not give a toss as they still will be paid at the end of the day. I would really like to get hold of the receptionist here and give them some decent training not only in the roll but in common courtesy too. I would say though that the doctors and nurses at the practice are lovely and are fantastic with both my daughters. The reception staff really let the practice down.by Laura GreensmithNovember 28, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Staff can sometimes be nice. Not usually tho. There all to busy talking to pick up the phone.. my record of calls trying to get through is 106 times! No in the end not receive a phone call back from a doctor! Receptionists are not qualified to give a medical diagnosis yet they still try and tell people there problems aren't an emergency!by Kels WallingtonMarch 28, 2017
